Kristen Soltis Anderson is a Republican pollster and political analyst.  In 2013 Time named Anderson one of the 30 People Under 30 who are changing the world.  She has been a vocal advocate for high school debate as a critical part of civics education and a way to push back against polarization.  Her September 2021 essay High school debate can save America makes the case that this activity benefits more than the participating students, but society as a whole.
